Cheryl provides one-on-one sessions in person and online.  Working one-on-one is the most effective way to address your specific needs.  Cheryl uses whole-body learning processes to support you to learn in your session and in your life.

Move Freely

$150/session

A Move Freely session helps you identify the movement issues you want to address, set a goal and improve the quality of your movement. 

Move Freely sessions are for people age 40-80 who want to actively age with vitality and wisdom.  These sessions are ideal for people who are curious, motivated to become or stay physically active and able to commit to regular movement exploration.

  • From one – 60 minute session you can expect to:

    • Gain insights to your patterns of movement

    • Learn a more effective way to move

    Rather than “fix” your bad body part for a week, e.g. knee, shoulder, neck; I help you to learn how you create movement patterns that might lead you to pain or stiffness and to choose movement options that lead you to move with ease, freedom and, even, delight!

Recovery

Discovery

$150/session

In a Recovery Discovery session, we uncover the movement habits that lead you toward pain and discover more effective movement habits that lead you towards freer, easier movement and away from the risk of re-injury. We will develop your personal recipe of micro-movement choices to improve your mobility and minimize your pain as you recover. At the end of each session you will have practical knowledge on how to support your recovery; greater confidence to move and a better knowledge about how your body works to support a fuller recovery.

  • Recovery Discovery sessions are for you if you want to get “back to me”  following an injury.  If you have worked with medical professionals like physiotherapists in your recovery but find you are not back to moving the way you want, I can support you to recover more fully.  These sessions are ideal for people who are curious, motivated to be or stay physically active and able to commit to regular movement exploration and observation.

    From one – 60 minute session you can expect to:

    • Gain insights to your patterns of movement that lead you toward pain.

    • Learn a more effective way to move

    • Improve your knowledge about how your body works

    • Gain clarity on how to keep moving while you recover

    • Feel greater confidence to move

    • Leave with your personal movement recipe to help you recover more fully

    Rather than focus only on your injury, I help you to learn how you create movement patterns that lead you to recover more fully, with confidence and to minimize the potential to re-injure yourself as you recover.

Kind Power

Coaching

$150/session

A Kind Power Coaching session helps you to connect to your personal sense of presence, power and compassion for yourself and for others.  We will use movement, voice, breath and somatic coaching to help you feel and be resourced to meet challenges in your life.

  • Common Kind Power goals include:

    Kind Power sessions are for you if you find you avoid social situations or conflict with others,  feel like your voice is not heard by the people in your life, struggle to set and maintain boundaries and want to find your ability to enter interactions with others with confidence and presence.

    • Gain posture and movement patterns that anchor you when life feels overwhelming

    • Develop practical strategies to manage anxiety and feeling stressed

    • Practice self-compassion and kindness

    • Practice strategies to interact with others and manage conflict using kind power

    • Improve your embodied knowledge of how to show up with a powerful presence

    Rather than focus primarily on all of the ways that fear, anxiety and self-guarding reactions arise in your body, thoughts and emotions, I support you to learn and use whole-person resources to treat yourself with compassion and stand in your authentic presence and power.

Seven Movements

Coaching

$50/session 

A Seven Movements coaching session supports you to transition from a sedentary life to moving regularly each week. 

In 30 minutes (online only), we will support you to build movement habits as you shift from a sedentary lifestyle to one with a persistent movement practice using a movement snacking approach.  Seven Movements is specifically designed for people who will never go to a gym to exercise.

*Cheryl is a trained Seven Movements Health Leader and affiliate.

  • Movement snacking is a movement practice that is recommended by researchers for people who are not motivated to “work out”.  Seven Movements is a research-based Canadian company that provides prescriptions for movement snacking (7 movements a day) whether you are an office worker or dealing with health conditions like poor balance or Parkinsons.  This coaching session pairs with use of the Seven Movements app or channel. ‍ ‍

    From one – 30 minute session you can expect to:

    • ‍Identify practical ways to bring regular movement into your week

    • Develop tailored strategies to start a movement habit

    • Identify milestone for progress and strategies to navigate pitfalls

    • Practice self-compassion and kindness in starting your movement habits.

FAQ

About 1-on-1 Sessions

Sessions are 1 hour long in person or online. (Seven Movements Coaching sessions are 30 minute online only)


Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.


Cheryl uses a consent-guided approach to working with clients, explaining processes before starting them, asking for consent prior to touch. She emphasizes client choice in the session, requesting feedback so we can shape your session together.


Sessions are tailored to your individual goals and needs.  Cheryl does not provide protocol-driven treatments; she meets you where you are, using what emerges from the co-discovery process in the session to shape the session. 


Online sessions require you to have a device (phone, tablet, computer), Internet.  Cheryl typically uses Zoom but can also use Google Meet or Whats App.  You will need space to move (slightly bigger than a yoga mat) and you may be asked to collect support props such as small pillows, rolled towels or similar items.  Online sessions can be recorded if requested.


At the end of the session, Cheryl will provide you with resources to support your learning after the session such as movement homework instructions or customized videos.


Cheryl maintains confidential records stored on password protected storage to maintain relevant client information, monitor progress and track session strategies. 


Cheryl does not want to exclude people who face economic constraints.  Please talk to Cheryl about options to access 1 on 1 work.
